Toxicity is rampant in our modern world. We are surrounded by toxic chemicals and pollutants. People accumulate these toxic chemicals which can then lead to illness and disease (toxicosis).
As part of our daily hygiene regimen we shower/bathe, wash our hands, and brush our teeth on a regular basis. Hygiene is essential in maintaining our health. But, If we didn’t take care ourselves by doing these things, our bodies would react to that neglect by accumulating all the nasty toxins listed below.
There are two major types of toxins that your body accumulates over time:
Includes all the chemicals and pollutants that you’re exposed to through air, water, and food. Common environmental toxins include pesticides, herbicides, prescription and over-the-counter medications, carbon monoxide, triclosan, bisphenol A, phthalates, and volatile organic compounds
These toxins are produced by each of your cells as they go about their everyday metabolic processes. Metabolic toxins can also be produced by microorganisms that act on incompletely digested food in your digestive tract.
Because we accumulate toxic matter inside our bodies it seems intuitive for our bodies to have the need to detoxify and get rid of all those accumulated chemicals so our bodies function at an optimal level.
So now you know WHY it’s important to detoxify and cleanse.
