Make your own digestive aid using the following ingredients:

 

Cilantro

Cilantro is a powerful digestive aid and cleansing agent capable of removing heavy metals and other toxic agents from the body. Including whole or ground cilantro seeds in your diet on a regular basis can help you maintain bowel regularity and avoid constipation.

Peppermint

This familiar flavor relieves digestive discomforts like indigestion and vomiting when brewed as tea and soothes sore muscles when applied topically in lotions.

Papaya

Papaya enzymes called “papain” are very effective at breaking down meat and other proteins and is comparable to the enzyme pepsin that we produce in our pancreas.  Using papaya in a meal containing meat can significantly speed up its digestion. It may also help with the breakdown of other proteins, such as the gluten in wheat and the casein in milk, that are often associated with digestive troubles.

Before Meal Drink

1-2 tsps. of Apple Cider Vinegar
1 cup of water

After-Dinner Carminative Tea

2 cups water
1 tsp. fennel seeds
1 tsp. coriander seeds

*Makes two cups of tea.
